An Oasis in Kathmandu!
We spent three nights here and loved it.
The hotel is in a converted private home on a side street off of Lazimpat Ave, so it’s both quiet and well-located.
The grounds are filled with trees, gardens, and plenty of seating. It truly is an oasis. The staff is very kind and helpful.
Food is fabulous. Breakfast included fruit salad, made to order eggs, delicious bread, cheese, and jam. We had lunch one day as well and it was delicious and inexpensive.
We enjoyed trying the Nepalese teas they offer by the pot. Lots of indoor space to relax too. WiFi worked very well the entire time. Backup electricity worked well.
We were in Gallery West – sunny, with a huge bathroom, and our own day bed where we relaxed outside our room.
On a second stay we were in the Sunny Lounge, which is large and has access to a huge shared, shaded balcony. Both excellent.

Tings is currently under going it’s annual ‘after-the-monsoon’ renovation. So we have had workers non stop the last week.
And we have had a fight with our web-providers.
Still we manage to get reviews like this one.
We’re grateful and happy.

Just in case you just booked a room for next week. The workers just finished the noisy part of their work. All the construction will be finished by Tuesday next week.
