The Lounge

The Cushions…

Tings Tea Lounge is NOT just another meeting place!

Tings Tea Lounge is an explorer’s hub, a salonand/or a place for exchanging ideas and experiences. For travelers and other creative people. Since our opening in March 2011 a lot of people have connected on FB, LinkedIn, Google+ and all the other places where people meet online. And several people have met off line – either while travelling OR after returning home. Follow our guests stories here.

Tings Tea Lounge is a place for art, music and literature. And the art of tea.

The Living Room – with the fireplace

Tings Tea Lounge is neither be a traditional tea house nor restaurant. And not a place for the typical Nepali tea with milk, sugar and spices as served in most tea shops. We serve a small but very fine selection of green and white teas, silver tips and first flush, as well as oolong and black – from Nepal as well as other countries around. Check out our Tea Menu.

We  serve a selection of small dishes and light meals in the relaxed lounge and garden – and a small selection of beer, wine and a few cocktails. Tings is NOT a drinking place – we DO NOT serve shots and if you want a bottle of spirit – please find one of the many bars and cafes in Lazimpat. Check out our Food Menu & Drink Menu

The day after this shooting Annette bought 5 huge and very beautiful orchids – so this shady garden room is blooming.

  3. Wow, it looks great! Is this really in Kathmandu? If there are no barking dogs around at night, I think you have a great place. I will be back in Nepal in october and spend a few days in Kathmandu. How much do you charge for a bed per night? Thanks Chris (Danish)
