For all us foreigners living in Kathmandu the weekly ‘Farmers Market’ has been the place to go to get the products you can’t live without – which of course you never find in the local supermarkets.
This is the place wher you get
- French and Italian cheese & Charcutterie
- European Bread
- Olive oil
- Herbs and vegetables
- Dips, sauces, jam
- and other goodies..
All product are of course locally produced and as organic as you get it in this polluted valley 🙂
Again – the market is mostly for foreigners living in Kathmandu who needs products ‘from home’ that make it possible for them yo a life as close to the life they left .
BUT during the years it has developed into a weekly get2gether for not only the expats but also long term travelers, rich locals, creatives etc.
All the guest we send to the market LOVE IT.
NOW THE MARKET HAS MOVED TO LAZIMPAT!
From Saturday 28th September farmer’s market will be at Trisara 5 minutes walk from Tings – opposite Jazz UpStairs next to the French Embassy..
The fastest way to get an insight in the tribe called Expats… (Danish Self Irony)
