Tings go public – the Roof Top is now OPEN!

The first day was a huge success

Tings are now up and running – come and visit us Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4 and 6 pm.!

Actually we have been in business since our first conference on 25th November where we had our first 25 guest for lectures and lunch. And we have had a couple of lunches for smaller ‘parties’ that found the way to us. And the only room we have available has also been rented out.

But yesterday was something special. That was the first opening of what we call Tings Slow Beginning where we entertain people every Tuesday and Thursday between 4 and 6 pm with a small Tea & Cake Menu (the worlds best Brownies and Thomas’ home baked Brunsviger. We are not allowed to sell beer and wine… yet.

5 guests turned up for an evening that ended up with take away pizzas from Sall’s and a lot of film talk – for some strange reasons all guests had one thing in common: They were all related to the movie industry – one way or the other.

Thomas got inspired and played music from The Good the Bad and the Ugly (Morricone), Trainspotting (Underworld), Romeo and Juliet (Radiohead), Pat Garrett (Dylan), Cabaret (Grey/Minnelli), Dancer in The Dark (Bjørk), Zappa (Cheepnis), Koianiqatsi (Glass), Blow Up (Hancock) and a lot of other fabulous tunes from his huge collection of soundtracks.

New people got connected and invitations were passing hands when we closed around 9 pm after a very successful evening. Thanks to Murray, Rasmus, Santos, ? and ?? for turning up.

And to all others out there – see you one of the up coming Tuesdays and Thursdays.
